Let's Make Art Matter for ICU Nurses in Oregon- January 2022 Kids Art
A dear member of the Let's Make Art community reached out to nominate her coworkers, ICU nurses at her local hospital, to share some joy and love through the art created by you.
These amazing nurses work in the only trauma center for 500 square miles in rural Southern Oregon, and have been attempting to beat back COVID for over a year now. As you can imagine they are so tired, and yet come to work day after day knowing they will be fighting a war. Battling COVID is a grueling affair, where they spend hours each day in gear that leaves wounds on their faces, gives constant headaches, aching necks, and extra dry skin from the air circulation. These are all burdens endured on a daily basis as they work their hearts out trying to save the sickest patients they've ever seen.
Now, with new variants descending, it can feel as if the nightmare of COVID is never-ending. This is where you all come in! Please help to fill their break room with beauty so when they get out of their gear for a precious 15-30 minute break, they can look at your art in its beauty and be inspired. Help these stalwart nurses escape their worries for their patients and be transported to somewhere magical.
