Let's Make Art Matter for Project H.O.P.E.- April 2020 Lettering
This month we are coming alongside the Junior nursing students at the University of Louisiana to create handwritten notes of support and encouragement for the homeless community. Each semester the students conduct an outreach program and provide health screenings for the homeless as well as essentials for survival - backpacks, underwear, socks, shoes, and more. Project H.O.P.E. (Homeless Outreach Providing Essentials) is on April 29th, 2020.
Last year, the students saw that handwritten note helped the participants feel that people truly care about them and are requesting our community to come together to support their over 250 participants.

Thank you so much for choosing Project H.O.P.E. for Let’s Make Art Matter! Our students were so looking forward to holding their outreach today, but unfortunately COVID 19 had other ideas. There are plans for the students to distribute essentials backpacks as soon a conditions permit, and to resume the project with outreach and health screenings in the Fall. They are so excited to have so many caring and artistic people helping them with this worthy project. They are feeling your love!
