Let's Make Art Matter For Someone Special - Wabi Sabi Mini Watercolor Painting
Share
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold- built on the idea that is similar to Wabi Sabi; embracing the flawed and imperfect. Every break is unique, and instead of throwing it out, we highlight the imperfections and move forward with an understanding that is stronger and that the imperfections make it more beautiful. For this month's Let's Make Art Matter postcard, learn how to paint a Kintsugi-inspired illustration. Send your postcard to someone you know that maybe needs a little extra love and support from a friend.
This project features supplies we love to work with when go for an ink and wash vibe. Learn how to combine watercolors, acrylic paint, and pen to create a Kintsugi inspired painting. Join watercolor artist, Sarah Cray and learn how to combine different element to paint a delicate mini painting. A pre-stamped postcard is included in our Wabi Sabi box. If you are not subscribed, but would still like to send some love, please email hello@letsmakeart.com for the address.

I just love to watch and listen to, you and Keenan as you go through your tutorials~ I have got so many stocked up, but just can’t seem to get myself going~ Am hoping something takes hold of me, getting me in the mood to slap some paint around~ Guess I’m just apprehensive about ruining whatever I try~ I’m so used to oils, which are much easier for me to use~ But I now Love working with water colors, as they are so much more challenging~
Thank you so much for sharing your talents~ And your personality~ You’re soooo much fun~ Love your laughter~
Thank-you for your joyful lesson! It’s the best I’ve seen and you have made my day!💗
